63 samples taken in Rajouri so far, report of 42 awaited

Rajouri, Apr 01 (KNO): The teams of health department in Rajouri on Wednesday started to lift samples of people from ‘red zone’ area in Manjakote with officials stating that twenty four samples were taken on day one. Officials said as per the wire service—Kashmir News Observer (KNO) said that a total of 63 samples have been collected so far from the area. District Magistrate Rajouri, Mohammad Nazir Sheikh said that teams of health department rushed to Manjakote area where the people from red zone villages were screened who remained in active contact with those who have been tested positive for Coronavirus. He informed that twenty four samples have been taken from red zone village and their further diagnosis shall be done in diagnostic laboratory in Jammu, adding that all efforts are on to ensure that no one from the red zone comes in contact with other people for which the entire area stands sealed while all kinds of basic essentials are being provided to the people. Meanwhile, a press statement issued by the district administration Rajouri revealed that a total of 63 samples have so far been collected in Rajouri out of which three were tested positive so far. It added that 20 people were tested negative while report of 42 samples is awaited. It further informed that one hundred and fifty nine people from Rajouri have also completed their quarantine period –(KNO)
